Tenuta Villa Lavinia

Plan your visit

Before
you come.

Practical answers about travel, the days, the rooms and the kitchen. Where a detail is settled in your written offer, it says so. If your question is not here, ask it.

The estate is at Vitorchiano, in Tuscia — northern Lazio, north of Rome. The journey from your arrival point is confirmed with you directly.

Arrival and departure transfers are part of the week. Which airports and stations they cover, and the pickup windows, are agreed with you before you travel.

Return airport or railway station transfers appear in the published inclusions.

Which airports or stations they cover, and what other travel is covered, is set out in your written offer — ask before you book flights or trains.

Write it in your request. The cooking follows producers and seasons, so the earlier we know, the more useful the answer.

You will be told in writing whether it can be handled well for your week.

Expect uneven paving and slopes in the towns, the footbridge and climb at Civita di Bagnoregio, and steps down into the painted tombs at Tarquinia.

If stairs or distance are a concern, say so in your request, and the access on each day will be described for you in writing.

Yes. €800 supplement for a double room for single use. The room arrangement for your week is confirmed in your written offer.

Comfortable shoes you can walk cobbles in, a jacket for the evenings, and something you do not mind getting flour on.

What the kitchen provides for the hands-on sessions is confirmed for your week; ask before you travel.

Your request is recorded and checked against availability for the week you asked about. The reply sets out whether the week can be offered and what it would include.

Sending a request does not hold a place, does not create an account and takes no payment. Nothing is booked until you have a written offer and you accept it.

The hands-on sessions are part of the published programme. Who leads them, the language they are held in and the level they assume are not published, and we will not invent them here.

Ask before you commit: write to info@italiancookingexperience.com and the answer for your week will be given in writing.

The sessions are hands-on rather than demonstrations. We do not publish a required level of experience, and we would rather tell you honestly for your week than promise that any level is fine.

There is a pool on the estate. Whether it is open and usable during your week — autumn weeks especially — is confirmed in your written offer. We do not promise swimming.

You stay at Elaios for all six nights and tell us the room arrangement you would prefer when you ask about a week: a shared double, a double for single use with the published supplement, or two separate beds.

That is a preference, not a reservation. The rooms available for your week and the bathroom arrangements are confirmed in your written offer.

€3,800 per person is the published price for the week. Your room, occupancy, transfer arrangements and any supplement are confirmed in writing before anything is due.

A long table set under a stone pergola, glasses and linen, olive trees beyond.

Ask us anything

A question first, a week later.

This is a question, not a booking: no dates required, no payment, no newsletter. Your question is recorded with the address you give, and the answer comes in writing.

We use your details only to answer you — see our privacy policy.
